French Fabric Frenzy
SELECTION:
Maison Georgette is a trendsetting French design studio which uses one large piece of fabric to create limited edition silkscreened home furnishing accessories at random.
REFLECTION:
Marion LŽvy and Veronique Georgelin are the brilliant design duo behind Maison Georgette . After having worked as stylists and designers for other people around the world they joined forces in 1999 to start their own company dedicated to their shared passion for modern textiles.
The focus for the latest collection (pictured above) was placed on visual impact with strong and defined patterns and color contrasts. As with all screenprinters LŽvy and Georgelin, had to think far in advance while planning their designs because they knew that wanted to explore white and empty spaces to complement each pattern.
Maison Georgette products are available exclusively in the United States at Illico Design, a San Fransisco based company dedicated to introducing the U.S. market to innovative and French designers.
Each magazine tote, purse, catch-all container and pillow is completely unique so when ordering do not expect to receive exactly what you see on your computer screen. But not to worry, you will probably get something even more beautiful than you had hoped.
