My Oh MIO
SELECTION:
Philadelphia-based design firm MIO Culture believes in design that is not only sustainable, but desireable to people living in a fast-paced and cool-driven world.
This philosophy is apparent with the creation of the Bendant Lamp. The structure is designed to encourage the owner to directly interact with the flat chandelier by arranging its flexible steel shades in any direction, resulting in a personalized light fixture.

REFLECTION:
Isaac and Jaime Salm, brothers and founders, of MIO Culture have been cranking out design gold since their first collection of eco-friendly products in 2003. Their current collection consists of three-dimensional wallpaper tiles, versatile seating, ambient lighting and knick knack orginization which have received a steady stream of accolades from design gurus across the country.
Holding true to their sustainable design beliefs, MIO refuses to work with any business that does not adhere to socially responsible business practices and only creates products that can easily be disassembled, shipped, recycled and composted.
The Bendant Lamp (lemon) pictured above costs $165 and can be purchased directly from the MIO Culture web site. It is also available in white and silver for a more subdued color palette.
